Expert assessments for children & adolescents
Our psychological assessments can help identify strengths, weaknesses, and alternative learning methods that may provide a better educational experience for children and adolescents.

Helping to achieve your child’s full potential
Some children and adolescents may have difficulty meeting typical expectations for learning and behaviour, in part because they may have difficulty coping with stress, controlling their emotions, or developing positive social connections. It can be difficult for parents, children or young adults themselves to determine why things are not going well or how to make them better.
At Randall Symes Psychological Services, we offer assessments that can help you and your child understand why they are falling behind and what can be done moving forward. Most importantly, this knowledge can be used to develop a treatment plan and support programming at school.
Our assessments examine how children and adolescents learn. It primarily involves intellectual (IQ) and academic testing. In addition, we utilize a variety of rating scales that evaluate emotional, behavioural, social, and adaptive functioning.

Positively enhancing your child's education, social, and family life
Almost anyone can benefit from a psychological or psychoeducational assessment. From children struggling with early literacy skills to a teenager preparing for college and questioning whether they can handle the written demands of their chosen program.
Our assessment team is comprised of psychologists specifically qualified to administer individual psychological tests and conduct thorough evaluations in an ethical, efficient, and insightful manner.
We provide clear and concise diagnoses where appropriate and develop detailed and relevant recommendations as well as intervention strategies tailored specifically to each client.
